This man I knew spoke of stars & meteors, galaxy, aliens & super humans,

a parallel universe where he wouldn’t be treated as God, where his mistakes wouldn’t be validated and his ego not as fragile as the crystal duck in my closet.

This man I knew wouldn’t run his fingers and hands on my waist in a crowded bus.

He wouldn’t hump and sandwich me on a local train and touch me at the wrong places.

This man I knew allows me to complete my sentences, doesn’t laugh at my dreams and doesn’t scream of toxicity.

This man I knew supports my vision, understands my bad days and never makes sexist & PMS jokes.

This man I knew isn’t all about getting into my pants, He takes a “No” for a “No” and is sound about consent.

This man I knew wouldn’t hurl abuses and wouldn’t beat me blue & black.

This man I knew wasn’t afraid of promises, he wouldn’t make me feel stupid for expressing emotions.

This man I knew was all a handsome gentleman who would cozy up in a bean bag with me kiss my forehead and chug a beer while laugh about the day.
